For 22 years, Frank Bezzina brought happiness to the lives of people of all ages as Koko the Clown.
There was hardly a weekend when the power station worker wasn’t seen somewhere in the Latrobe Valley with his smiling face, corny jokes and clown props.
I sat down with Frank for chat in Gippsland’s Gold and TRFM’s Gippsland Connected video series.
During his career, Frank’s alter-ego Koko the Clown released a number of books and instigated the implementation of Protective Behaviours, which he discusses with me in this short video.
Koko the Clown made his final public appearance at the 2017 Traralgon Carols by Candlelight. And although Koko is now retired, Frank is most certainly not. The Latrobe City 2013 ‘Citizen of the Year’ is still out there working for the community.
